Tri-Valley Animal Rescue in Pleasanton, CA

Tri-Valley Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue organization based in Pleasanton, California, in Alameda County, where 26 other animal shelters and rescues also operate. Located about 25 miles south of San Jose, TVAR has focused on animal rescue since 1992 and now saves over 1,000 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens each year through its foster-based network in the Dublin and Danville area. The organization relies entirely on foster homes and volunteers, holding regular weekly adoption events for dogs at Dublin PetSmart and for kittens at PetFood Express in Danville. TVAR promotes an "Adopt, Don't Shop" philosophy and offers dog, puppy, kitten, and bottle-baby-kitten fostering programs to support its mission of finding loving homes for rescued animals.
