Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, please visit the SPCA located at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway, directly across from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Once there, you can interact with the pet you are considering to determine if their personality aligns with your lifestyle. If you are interested in adopting a dog, you may meet them in one of our designated dog condo rooms or play with them in our outdoor play yards. It is important that all members of your household meet the animal prior to adoption to ensure a harmonious fit for everyone involved. If you currently have a dog at home and are looking to adopt another, our animal care staff will assist you with the introduction process to help facilitate a successful match. The adoption process typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes. During this time, you will complete the necessary paperwork, receive vaccination records, and obtain microchip information. Adoption fees range from $20 to $290. Finally, you can take your new lifelong family member home with you!
