Utah Vizsla Rescue is a Salt Lake County-based rescue organization located in Salt Lake City, Utah, about 10 miles west of the city center, and is one of 25 animal shelters and rescues serving Salt Lake County. Founded in 1997, it is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization dedicated exclusively to the Vizsla breed, serving Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and Montana. The rescue has worked with local, regional, and national humane organizations and shelters to identify more than 600 Vizslas in need and place them into stable, loving adoptive homes, as well as working directly with owners who need to surrender their dogs. Once a dog enters its foster and forever-family network, the organization commits that it will never be homeless again.
