We are a small rescue organization dedicated to dachshunds and dachshund mixes. The founders of RMDR are passionate dachshund owners who are committed to the breed. We understand that dachshunds have unique needs, and we strive to meet those needs to the best of our ability.

Adoption process

The adoption process includes several important steps. There are fees associated with adoption, and potential adopters must complete a contract. Home visits will be conducted to ensure a suitable environment for the dog. Adopters must agree to return the dog to RMDR if they can no longer keep it. Additionally, references provided in the application will be verified.

Service area: We serve the Rocky Mountain region, including Montana, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming, and have collaborated with other rescue organizations in Oregon and California.
