About this shelter

Save Our Setters, Inc. (Memphis Office) in Oakland, TN

Save Our Setters, Inc. is a rescue organization specializing in Irish Setters, Gordon Setters, and Irish Red & White Setters, operating from its Memphis Office located in Oakland, Tennessee, within Fayette County, about 25 miles southwest of Olive Branch, MS. Two other animal shelters or rescues also serve Fayette County. The group, whose motto is "Setting a Higher Standard," relies entirely on donations and fundraising to fund its programs, receiving no state or federal funds and no support from the Irish Setter Club of America Rescue Fund or other breed club funding. It coordinates a network of foster homes, volunteers, and transporters to move surrendered or displaced Setters into new placements, and requires a completed application before any adoption or fostering can take place.
