About this shelter
Save Our Setters, Inc. in Oakland, TN
Save Our Setters, Inc. is an animal shelter based in Oakland, Tennessee, in Fayette County, roughly 25 miles southwest of Olive Branch, MS, with two other animal shelters or rescues also located in Fayette County. Save Our Setters is a breed-specific rescue dedicated to Irish, Gordon, and Irish Red & White Setters, taking in dogs from owner surrenders and shelters and placing them with volunteer foster homes until permanent adopters are found. The organization relies entirely on donations and fundraising, accepting no state or federal funds and receiving no support from the Irish Setter Club of America Rescue Fund or other breed club funding. Adopting or fostering requires completing an application, and the group also depends on volunteers to help with transporting rescued Setters to foster or forever homes.
