Greyhound Lifesavers is an animal shelter based in Lexington, South Carolina, located in Lexington County alongside 10 other animal shelters and rescues in the county, about 10 miles east of Columbia, SC. For fifteen years the all-volunteer group placed hundreds of greyhounds into forever homes through a network of foster homes, supported by annual online auctions, fundraisers, and an online marketplace. The organization has since closed its doors due to a decline in volunteer foster homes, and its remaining funds were donated to The Greyhound Health Initiative to support the 4Legs4Hounds program.
