Greyhound Lifesavers in Lexington, SC
Greyhound Lifesavers is an animal shelter in Lexington, South Carolina, located in Lexington County, which is home to 10 other animal shelters and rescues and sits about 10 miles east of Columbia, SC. For fifteen years the organization placed hundreds of greyhounds into forever homes through a foster-based adoption model, supported by volunteer fosters, annual online auctions, and other fundraisers. The group is now closing its doors due to a decline in volunteer foster homes, and is donating its remaining funds to The Greyhound Health Initiative to support its 4Legs4Hounds program.
