Adoption Process

Adoption fees differ based on the age and type of animal. A valid photo ID is required for adoption. For dogs, the fees are as follows: - Puppies under 7 months cost $350. - Dogs aged between 7 months and 6 years are $175. - Senior dogs over 6 years are $60. For cats, the fees are: - Kittens under 7 months are $100. - Adult cats aged between 7 months and 6 years are $75. - Senior cats, as well as those with FeLV, FIV+, and barn cats, are available for $25.

Dorchester Paws, previously known as Frances R. Willis SPCA, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the lives of animals in Dorchester County, South Carolina. As the only open-admission shelter in the county, Dorchester Paws serves several towns, including Rosinville, Ridgeville, Oakbrook, St. George, Summerville, and Grover.
