Humane Ohio is a humane society located in Perrysburg, Ohio, in Wood County—about 20 miles north of Toledo—where three other animal shelters and rescues also operate. The organization's mission is to build a community without homeless pets by providing access to quality, low-cost spay/neuter services and resources that keep pets healthy in their homes, serving residents throughout Ohio and Michigan. Since opening its doors in 2006, Humane Ohio has spayed or neutered over 280,000 dogs and cats and now helps more than 17,000 pets and pet caregivers each year. Beyond its spay/neuter clinic and community cat programs, the organization also runs a cat adoption program for those looking to bring home a new pet.
