Homeward Animal Shelter in Fargo, ND

We are a dedicated team at our shelter, which has been in operation since 1966. Our mission is to rescue animals from local impounds when their time is limited and provide them with a chance to be re-homed. We passionately advocate for these animals, who find themselves in shelters through no fault of their own, and work to prevent their euthanization by offering them a safe haven.

Adoption process

The adoption process requires the submission of an adoption application along with two references and a veterinary check. Adopters will need to sign an adoption contract that includes a spay/neuter agreement if the pet is not yet old enough to undergo the procedure. The adoption fees are $136 for cats and $146 for dogs. Additionally, all adopters must be at least 18 years of age.

Service area: We provide services to the Fargo-Moorhead area, including West Fargo, as well as all communities in Cass County, North Dakota, and Clay County, Minnesota.
