Anjellicle Cats Rescue is an all-volunteer, registered 501(c)(3) organization committed to helping make New York a no-kill city, and it is a member of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner. As one of the most active cat rescues in the five boroughs, it rescues, rehabilitates, and finds adoptive homes for homeless and abandoned cats—including many that are sick, injured, or otherwise deemed unadoptable—by placing them in foster homes for medical care and preparation before permanent adoption. The rescue also maintains adoption partnerships at cat cafés and pet stores around the city, including Koneko in Manhattan, Kokoro in Queens, and Petco on the Upper East Side.

Adoption process

Submit a completed adoption application by email; once approved, attend a required cat care seminar, then sign adoption papers, pay the adoption fee, and complete a home visit (currently done via video call) before the cat is moved to your home.
