Luvin' Labs in Albuquerque, NM

Luvin' Labs is an animal shelter located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in Bernalillo County, about 3 miles northeast of the city, alongside 25 other animal shelters and rescues also based in the county. Founded to rescue Labrador Retrievers and lab mixes, the all-volunteer organization has placed 1,330 dogs into forever homes over its nine years of operation, relying on foster care, home visits, and vet reference checks to carefully match dogs with adopters. Run by Colleen and Marita, the rescue took over stewardship of Lodestar Dog Ranch and built a community of dedicated fosters and volunteers devoted to educating, fostering, adopting, and rescuing labs in need.
