Four Corners Animal League in Taos, NM

Four Corners Animal League serves Taos County, New Mexico, roughly 60 miles southwest of Santa Fe, and is one of three animal welfare organizations operating in the county. Its mission is to enhance the welfare of pets and homeless animals by promoting responsible ownership, compassionate care, and humane treatment, with a strong focus on combating pet overpopulation. Since 2000, the organization has funded spay/neuter procedures for more than 17,000 dogs and cats and has transferred over 7,500 animals to Colorado for placement in good homes; it operates without a central shelter location, relying instead on foster homes, community education in schools, and transport programs. Four Corners Animal League also runs dog and cat foster and adoption application programs to connect abandoned or mistreated animals with caring individuals throughout the community.
