the Dixon Animal Protection Society
Dixon, New Mexico 87527About this shelter
the Dixon Animal Protection Society in Dixon, NM
DPS was founded over 30 years ago by Jeannie Cornelius, who once cared for 49 dogs. I became involved through a mutual friend and assumed the role of President when we relocated here two years ago. Both Jeannie and I have always been passionate about animals and feel a deep connection to them. Prior to our move, I volunteered with the Austin Humane Society as a dog volunteer, despite being allergic to cats, and I currently have three cats.
