About this shelter

Mid America Rottweiler Rescue in Omaha, NE

Mid America Rottweiler Rescue is a foster-based rescue organization located in Omaha, Nebraska, within Douglas County, where 8 other animal shelters or rescues are also based; the group sits roughly 10 miles east of Omaha. MARR partners with other rescues and shelters in its service area to pull Rottweilers—including those with medical needs or behavioral challenges—into its foster network rather than relying on a physical shelter facility. The rescue also advertises referral dogs from partner organizations and recently received a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization to provide medical and dental stipends for adopters of senior dogs. Its philosophy holds true even after adoption, following the belief that "once a MARR dog, always a MARR dog," meaning dogs can return to its care if placements don't work out.
