Since 1983, the humane society has provided a temporary home for puppies and kittens as well as adult dogs and cats, working to find permanent, loving homes for abused, neglected, and abandoned animals throughout Southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas. The shelter also runs an Adopt-a-Kennel Program, allowing businesses, individuals, and classrooms to sponsor a kennel and support the animals in its care through donations that go toward food and supplies.
