About this shelter

Cause 4 Cats, Inc. in Lebec, CA

Cause 4 Cats, Inc. is a cat rescue based in Lebec, California, located in Kern County alongside 17 other animal shelters and rescues in the county, roughly 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles. As a California nonprofit supported solely by private donations, the organization focuses on improving the lives of pet, stray, and feral cats through adoption, TNR (trap-neuter-return), and rescue efforts in the Bakersfield area. Since it does not have a physical shelter to take cats in, it relies on a network of foster homes and volunteers to care for cats and kittens, including special-needs animals, until they find permanent homes. Over the past decade, Cause 4 Cats has helped rescue and place thousands of cats from the mountain communities and greater Bakersfield area.
