KittyMOM's Animal Rescue in Kalispell, MT
KittyMOM's Animal Rescue is a nonprofit rescue organization based in Kalispell, Montana, in Flathead County, roughly 90 miles south of Missoula. Founded by Darcy Jackson Albert after her 2007 retirement from CenturyTel, it is dedicated to helping abandoned, sick, and stray cats and kittens by providing warmth, shelter, food, veterinary care, and spay/neuter services before placing them in responsible homes. Rather than pulling cats from local shelters, the rescue focuses on cats and kittens found on the street, operating out of a room in Darcy's own home with the help of volunteers throughout the county, foster homes, and monthly adoption events at the Kalispell Petco. Six other animal shelters and rescues also operate within Flathead County.
