About this shelter

Last Hope, Inc. in Farmington, MN

Last Hope, Inc. is an animal shelter based in Farmington, Minnesota, in Dakota County, where it operates alongside 8 other animal shelters and rescues in the county. Located about 15 miles northwest of Bloomington, MN, Last Hope was founded 30 years ago as an incorporated, tax-exempt rescue and has placed over 43,000 unwanted cats and dogs into new homes. All animals are cared for in volunteer foster homes rather than a central facility, and those ready for adoption are brought to weekly adoption events at the Apple Valley and Burnsville PETCO stores every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The organization relies heavily on its network of foster volunteers, who pick up animals from local vets and care for them until they find permanent homes.
