For-Ever Home Bloodhound Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) animal shelter located in Doyline, Louisiana, in Webster Parish, about 20 miles west of Shreveport, LA. It shares Webster Parish with one other animal shelter or rescue. Founded and run by Karen Ponder, former Rescue Director for the South Central Bloodhound Club, the sanctuary specializes exclusively in rescuing and rehoming Bloodhounds, currently accepting owner surrenders with a donation as long as the dogs are current on vaccinations and heartworm testing. Its mission is to provide homeless Bloodhounds with a safe, happy life while educating the public about the breed to reduce neglect, abuse, and abandonment.
