Iowa Weimaraner Rescue in Decorah, IA
Iowa Weimaraner Rescue is devoted to rescuing displaced Weimaraners, providing them with a safe, stable, and balanced environment, and making a life-long commitment to finding them forever homes. Based in Decorah, Iowa, in Winneshiek County, about 60 miles northwest of Rochester, MN, the organization carries out its work through a network of volunteers and foster families who assist with everything from transportation to meet-and-greet events. Adoption applicants are matched carefully with a Weimaraner suited to their family's needs, with a rescue volunteer following up personally on every application to help ensure a lasting match. The rescue takes an unhurried approach with fosters who have medical needs, working through issues fully before placing a dog in its final home.
