About this shelter
Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary in Deer Trail, CO
Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary is an animal shelter located in Deer Trail, Colorado, about 45 miles west of Aurora, CO. It provides lifelong care to rescued farm animals, including domestic ducks and geese abandoned on ponds, potbelly pigs given up as "inconvenient," and other animals who have been exploited and used in agribusiness. The sanctuary is built on the belief that every individual animal deserves a safe, loving home and caretakers who respect their lives, and it advocates for vegan living as a way to reduce farm animal suffering. Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary offers each rescued resident the opportunity to live a free and natural life.
