Founded in 1995, PawSafe is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization dedicated to ending unnecessary euthanasia and suffering of companion animals through aggressive spay/neuter initiatives, rehoming efforts, and education programs. The rescue relies on a network of foster families to give dogs a safe space to decompress and socialize before adoption, and has matched over a thousand dogs with families across the Tri-State area since its founding. PawSafe operates additional locations in Ellington, CT and the Patterson/Stormville area of New York, with the New York operation running entirely through foster homes.
