Venango County Humane Society is located in Seneca, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles north of Erie, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. The organization finds homes for cats and dogs of many breeds, including Labrador Retrievers, Australian Shepherds, Pit Bull Terriers, hounds, and domestic short- and long-haired cats. Its motto, "Best friends start here," reflects its adoption and foster program, and the society also runs a low-cost feline spay/neuter clinic and weekly BINGO fundraisers to support spay/neuter services for shelter animals.
