The Pennsylvania SPCA Central PA Center in Danville is a humane society located in Danville, Pennsylvania, about 50 miles south of Harrisburg. Situated on a 5-acre property in Montour County, the center serves both urban and rural communities by providing safe haven for horses and barnyard animals in addition to dogs and cats. The PSPCA has rescued more than 100 horses from cruelty and neglect over the past five years, many of whom recover in the center's pastures before finding forever families, while nearly 1,000 cats and dogs also find adoptive homes through the center annually. The center is open every day from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and also offers low-cost preventive veterinary care services to pet families in the community.
