Mommy & me rescue in Mt Carmel, PA

We are a Pennsylvania state-licensed non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue kennel and foster home network, dedicated primarily to helping expectant mothers, mothers with puppies, puppies, and small breed dogs. With over 20 years of experience in canine care and training, our organization is deeply committed to animal welfare. My passion for rescuing animals began in childhood; I bottle-fed my first litter at the age of 14. I have chosen to specialize in helping pregnant dogs and mothers with puppies because they hold a special place in my heart. Unfortunately, many other rescue organizations overlook these mothers or abandon them after their puppies are weaned, but we take a different approach. We care for these dogs as part of our family until we can find them the perfect forever home. We also prioritize educating the community about the importance of spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation.

Adoption process

The adoption process begins with the completion and approval of an application. This includes a meeting between the potential adopter and the dog, as well as an introduction to the adopter's other pets. If the dog is too young to be spayed or neutered, a contract will be required to ensure this procedure is completed at the appropriate age. Home visits and veterinary references are part of the process. We reserve the right to conduct unannounced visits. If a pet falls behind on vaccinations or is not provided care that meets our standards, we will take necessary action to reclaim the pet. A final contract must be signed upon adoption. Our fees are determined based on the specific expenses associated with each dog or litter.
