Tri-County Animal Rescue Center is a rescue organization located in Shippenville, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles southwest of Pittsburgh. Housed in the former Clarion County Humane Society building, it is a no-kill, 501(c)3 nonprofit facility that can accommodate roughly 20 cats and 10 dogs at a time, rescuing needy cats and dogs and caring for them until they are placed in forever homes. The organization is also committed to preventing cruelty to animals and reducing pet overpopulation through low-cost spay/neuter programs and public education, and it has facilitated over 1,900 adoptions since December 2011. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 1:00–4:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00–3:00 PM.
