Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY
Farm Sanctuary is an animal shelter located in Watkins Glen, New York, roughly 60 miles northwest of Rochester, NY. Its 275-acre refuge in the Finger Lakes region, located about 20 minutes west of Watkins Glen next to Sugar Hill State Forest, is home to hundreds of rescued cows, pigs, turkeys, goats, sheep, chickens, and other farm animals, each with their own story. Visitors can meet the animals through guided tours, explore the grounds at their own pace, stay overnight, or visit the on-site café and Sanctuary Shop. The sanctuary is open Thursday through Sunday from 9:30 AM to 4:15 PM.

To "adopt" a farm animal, supporters choose an animal and make a monthly or annual sponsorship donation to help cover its food, shelter, and veterinary care; sponsors receive a digital (and optional printed) certificate, a Farm Sanctuary membership, and a subscription to the Sanctuary publication.
