About this shelter

Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York, LLC. in Schenectady, NY

Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York, LLC is a dog rescue based in Schenectady, New York, about 15 miles southeast of Albany. It is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization with no physical shelter facility; every dog in its program lives with a foster family until adoption. The group rescues dogs surrendered to shelters, turned over through its own surrender program, and saved from puppy mills, and it works to ensure all dogs are current on vaccinations, seen by a vet, and spayed or neutered before placement. Homeward Bound focuses its adoptions within the Capital District area, requiring a home visit for every match to help ensure each adoption becomes a true forever home.
