Bianca's Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center in Port Washington, NY

Bianca's Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center is a cage-free cat rescue located in Port Washington, New York, roughly 15 miles northwest of Yonkers. Operated as part of North Shore Animal League America, the center was born from a 2013 conversation between national spokesperson Beth Stern and Senior Vice President of Operations Joanne Yohannan about addressing feline homelessness, and it is named in memory of Beth and Howard Stern's dog, Bianca. The 14,000-square-foot facility is devoted to the rescue, socialization, care, and adoption of cats and kittens, with exam rooms, a feline behavior department, grooming facilities, a kitten adoption area, a 24-hour-care nursery, and a respiratory ward and surgical suite; its free-roaming, cage-free environment is designed to maximize socialization and reduce the stress, depression, and aggression that caged living can cause in cats. The center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
