Misfitland Monkey Rescue is located at 100 Bullock Lane in Moscow, Ohio, about 25 miles northwest of Covington, Kentucky. Founded by Teresa Bullock, the rescue is dedicated to providing forever homes to domesticated monkeys that were born in captivity in the USA and later lost their homes due to issues like their owners' health, changing living situations, or behavioral conflicts. Every monkey and other rescued animal (aside from the birds) is spayed or neutered upon arrival, and none of the animals are ever sold, rehomed, bred, or placed elsewhere — once they arrive, it's for the rest of their lives. The sanctuary provides the animals with daily human interaction, soft beds, blankets, television, swings, ropes, a pool, and a trampoline, aiming to give them the most comfortable life possible while also serving as an educational resource where visitors can learn about adult domesticated monkeys and their habits.
