Humane Ohio is a humane society located in Toledo, Ohio, about 7 miles southeast of the city. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to see a community without homeless pets, providing quality, low-cost spay/neuter services and resources to keep pets healthy in their homes, serving residents throughout Ohio and Michigan. The organization has spayed or neutered over 280,000 dogs and cats since opening in 2006 and helps more than 17,000 pets and pet caregivers each year, offering both a spay/neuter clinic and a cat adoption program. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 to 5:30 PM.

Fill out an application (online or a downloadable PDF) for a cat or kitten you're interested in, then an adoption volunteer will contact you to schedule an appointment to meet the animal; adoption fees are $75 for cats 6 months and older and $95 for kittens under 6 months.
