Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is a rescue organization located in Pontiac, Michigan, about 15 miles east of Sterling Heights. Rescuing dogs and cats since 1953, MARL describes itself as "a different breed of shelter," with a mission to be the community leader in non-profit animal welfare by providing dogs and cats the highest quality of life through rescue, medical care, short- and long-term sanctuary, adoption, education, and outreach.
