About this shelter

Senior Dog Sanctuary in Severn, MD

Senior Dog Sanctuary is a dog rescue in Severn, Maryland, located about 10 miles south of Bowie, MD, and is open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The organization provides a safe haven for older dogs who have lost their homes, working with local medical personnel to rehabilitate them before finding them new adoptive homes. Staff and volunteers focus on restoring these seniors' health and joy so they can experience a second chance at unconditional love. The sanctuary also runs the Tommy Raskin Seniors 2 Seniors Program, a food pantry that provides pet food and supplies to senior citizens in Anne Arundel County so they can keep their dogs despite financial hardship.
