About this shelter
Up With The Son Sanctuary in Westminster, SC
Up With The Son Sanctuary is an animal shelter located in Westminster, South Carolina, about 40 miles east of Greenville. The sanctuary began in Florida in 2017 with two horses and a runaway pig, growing to include pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and calves before the family purchased 21 acres in Westminster, SC in 2020 to accommodate their 28 animals. Their mission centers on rescuing cows, giving these gentle, inquisitive animals a safe, loving home as members of the family rather than viewing them as dairy or meat sources. As a 501(c) nonprofit, 100% of donations go directly toward feeding and caring for the animals, and the sanctuary is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
