About this shelter
Animal Shelter & Care of Jefferson County in Boulder, MT
Animal Shelter & Care of Jefferson County (AS&C) is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter located in Boulder, Montana, about 25 miles north of Helena. Its mission is promoting humane treatment of animals through shelter, education, and spay/neuter endeavors in Jefferson County, and its goal is to be the first place people turn to when they need help with their pets. For over 15 years the organization has served as first responders rescuing and sheltering lost and abandoned animals in the county, primarily cats and dogs, and its new facility is the first and only brick-and-mortar animal shelter in Jefferson County. Beyond housing animals, AS&C offers services benefiting the wider community, including a foster care program and low-cost shot clinics.
