About this shelter

Humane Society of Young County in Graham, TX

The Humane Society of Young County, located in Graham, Texas, roughly 80 miles east of Fort Worth, has been helping stray and unwanted animals throughout Young County since 1979. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit that serves as the reclaim center for Graham Animal Control and regularly networks with rescues to find homes for the dogs and cats in its care. The shelter is a strong advocate of spaying and neutering all pets to address pet overpopulation, and it welcomes visitors Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Adoption applications are reviewed and approved before potential adopters meet the animals, and approved applicants who complete a meet-and-greet can often take their new pet home the same day.
