About this shelter

Friends for Life Dog Rescue in Glover, VT

Friends for Life Dog Rescue is a nonprofit, foster-based dog rescue located in Glover, Vermont, about 35 miles southwest of Montpelier. It serves the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, focusing on fostering, sheltering, adoption, education, spay/neuter, and community outreach to help dogs in need. Rather than housing dogs in a central facility, the rescue relies on a network of foster homes to get to know each dog well and match them with the right adoptive family. It also supports the community through programs like its Dog House Program and dog education resources aimed at helping keep dogs in their current homes.
