Cullman County Animal Shelter, located at 935 Convent Road in Cullman, Alabama, roughly 40 miles north of Huntsville, is a public facility providing temporary or permanent shelter to stray, abandoned, abused, and owner-surrendered animals. The shelter is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Stray animals are held for seven days as required by state law to give owners a chance to reclaim them before being made available for adoption, and there is no fee to drop off strays or owner surrenders. Adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, microchipping, and other core vaccines and dewormer for both dogs and cats.
