PAWS Adoption Center is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, about 1 mile west of the city center. It is open Monday through Friday from 12:00–6:00 PM, Saturday from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM–5:00 PM. As the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), it is the city's largest rescue partner and works to make Philadelphia a place where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home, rescuing animals primarily from the city shelter with a focus on adult dogs, kittens, cats recovering from illness, and small animals. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a veterinarian before adoption, and the organization also runs low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinics to help keep pets and families together.
