Sterling Animal Shelter, formally known as Animal Shelter, Inc. of Sterling, is located about 15 miles south of Worcester, Massachusetts, and operates under the motto "Every Nose Needs a Home." The shelter promotes responsible pet ownership and works to improve the quality of life for the animals and people in its community, offering programs such as low-cost spay/neuter services through its on-site vet clinic, a Seniors for Seniors adoption program, puppy and transport programs, small animal and koi fish rescue, dog training, and a Pitbull Resource Center. It is open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and encourages visitors to submit an adoption application in advance to help streamline the process of adopting a pet.
