The Kansas Humane Society is a humane society located in Wichita, Kansas, roughly four miles southwest of the city, at 3313 N. Hillside. It is Wichita's largest privately funded, nonprofit animal shelter, serving as a community resource for pets and people by helping abandoned and homeless animals. The shelter offers adoption of dogs, cats, and small animals, along with spay/neuter services for low-income families, community outreach, end-of-life care, animal rescue, and pet rehoming, all aimed at giving animals a second chance at a new life. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
