About this shelter

Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. IMPS in Pinellas Park, FL

Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. (IMPS) is an animal shelter based in Pinellas Park, Florida, within Pinellas County, home to 20 other animal shelters and rescues, and located about 15 miles east of Tampa. Founded in July 1998, IMPS is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned Miniature Pinschers, providing foster care, transport, veterinary treatment, and adoptive placement. Rather than operating from a single facility, IMPS functions as a network of regional coordinators and foster homes across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating each dog's temperament and ensuring all min pins are spayed or neutered before adoption. The organization also runs a Seniors Adoption Program, waiving adoption donations and covering half of routine medical costs for dogs age ten and older.
