Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. (IMPS) is an animal shelter based in Clearwater, Florida, located in Pinellas County, roughly 15 miles east of Tampa, alongside 20 other animal shelters and rescues in the county. Founded in July 1998 following the adoption of a dog named Lister through a Miniature Pinscher email group, IMPS is dedicated exclusively to rescuing and rehoming homeless and abandoned Miniature Pinschers. Rather than operating from a single physical facility, IMPS works through a nationwide network of foster homes and regional coordinators, providing veterinary care, temperament evaluation, and spay/neuter services before placing dogs in approved adoptive homes. The organization also runs a Seniors Adoption Program that waives adoption donations and covers half of routine medical costs for dogs age ten and older.
