Adoption Process

The standard adoption fee is $200, although this fee may be waived in certain special cases. All dogs are fully vetted, which includes spaying or neutering, before they are placed for adoption. Home visits are mandatory before finalizing any adoptions, and landlord approval is also required if applicable.

Service Areas

Adoptions are available in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. There are no restrictions on adoptions as long as adopters are willing to travel to the Philadelphia area to meet the dog(s).

New Leash on Life USA in Narberth, PA

New Leash on Life rescues dogs from local shelters and places them with individuals who are currently incarcerated. The dogs reside with these individuals and receive training for a period of three months before being adopted. Our program harnesses the human-animal bond to positively impact the lives of both the dogs and the participants.
