Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the applicant completing an application. Once the application is submitted, we screen it and verify references, including veterinary and personal contacts, as well as the landlord if applicable. Based on this review, we will either approve or reject the application. If the application is approved, the applicant will be notified, and arrangements will be made for a meeting between the applicant and the cat. If this meeting goes well, a date will be scheduled to finalize the adoption. Finalizing the adoption involves signing our Adoption Contract and paying an adoption fee of $85.

Project M.E.O.W. in Philadelphia, PA

Project MEOW is a volunteer-driven animal welfare organization dedicated to humanely reducing the stray cat population in West Philadelphia. We achieve this through rescue and adoption efforts, support for residents who care for stray cats, and the implementation of Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) programs where suitable. Our primary goal is to address and decrease the overpopulation of domestic cats in the West Philadelphia area.
