Mission Statement Our mission is to positively impact the lives of dogs by rescuing and facilitating their adoption into loving and responsible homes. Our History For Paws Sake Rescue was founded on January 6, 2017, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in San Antonio, Texas. This initiative arose from a profound commitment to improve the lives of dogs in need of loving homes. We strive to make a difference one dog at a time. Who We Are For Paws Sake Rescue is the vision of our founder, Melody, a registered nurse and USAF veteran. Having witnessed the heartbreaking plight of street dogs in South Texas, Melody became inspired to make a change after rescuing and adopting her own dogs. Her dedication led her to volunteer with several animal rescues. She resolved that if the opportunity arose to establish a rescue, she would seize it. That opportunity ultimately materialized, resulting in the creation of For Paws Sake Rescue.

Adoption process

The cost for adoption is $200 for in-state applicants and $400 for out-of-state applicants. An adoption contract is required, along with a home study.
