Adoption Process

The adoption fees are $125 for local adoptions and $350 for long-distance adoptions that require transport. Potential adopters must complete an application and obtain approval, which includes agreeing to home visits. For long-distance adoptions, a proxy from the rescue partner will conduct the home visit. Each adoption application is reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis to ensure the best possible match between the adopter and the animal.

L&S Dog Diggity Rescue in San Antonio, TX

L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is named in honor of Lobo and Sydney, the first two dogs we rescued. We specialize in taking in homeless dogs, primarily those that are stray or abandoned, particularly around military bases in San Antonio, Texas. Many of our founders are veterans who have witnessed the large number of pets that are abandoned near these bases. To address the significant issue of homeless pets in our local area, we have formed partnerships with reputable rescue organizations in regions with fewer homeless animals. This collaboration enables us to find qualified adopters and actively contribute to reducing the homeless pet population in our community.
