Adoption Process

To adopt an animal, individuals must complete an adoption contract and receive approval from a representative of GAP or the foster parent. All dogs must either be placed on or continue their heartworm preventative, and it is strongly recommended that they also receive flea preventative. The adoption fees for animals from the Euless Animal Shelter are as follows: for male dogs and cats, the fee is $60; for female dogs and cats, it is $85. Male puppies under four months cost $125, while female puppies under four months are $150, which covers the entire puppy vaccine series, deworming, and neutering. For animals in foster care, the adoption fees are $100 for male dogs and $125 for female dogs, which includes heartworm testing along with vaccines and neutering. The fees for cats in foster care are $60 for males and $85 for females. Any animal with a different adoption fee will have that information clearly indicated on their specific adoption page.

Service Areas

Trinity GAP Club in Euless, TX

The Trinity Girls Awareness Program, known as the GAP Club, is dedicated to addressing issues relevant to girls while fostering awareness of their community, with the ultimate aim of developing them into responsible students and citizens. For the past six years, we have proudly sponsored the Euless Animal Shelter as part of our community outreach efforts. Our primary goal is to help the shelter facilitate pet adoptions and secure forever homes or foster care for animals, thereby preventing euthanasia. We achieve this by leveraging networking opportunities, utilizing pet adoption websites, and raising funds to subsidize the costs of spaying and neutering, as well as vaccinating shelter pets against parvo and distemper. Additionally, we provide assistance for heartworm treatment and other medical expenses for animals in need. Our sponsors visit the shelter weekly to update pictures, administer vaccinations, and check on the well-being of the dogs and cats. We also take GAP girls to the shelter twice a month, allowing them to volunteer and understand the importance of our sponsorship and fundraising efforts. As a result of our collaboration, the shelter's euthanasia rate has significantly decreased, a success attributed largely to our networking and online initiatives. Personally, I find great fulfillment in working with the shelter and its animals. They depend on our help, and their gratitude for even the smallest acts of kindness is heartwarming. The most rewarding experience is witnessing a family or individual discover the "perfect" pet, knowing that the animal has found a loving forever home.
